Our intention is to share knowledge that is theoretically grounded and practically useful for teachers, students, staff, and leadership in higher education and related contexts. In years 1, 3, and 5 we will assess one of these two outcomes; in years 2, 4, 6 we will assess the other.

The rules and guideposts of informal logic help us to make sound arguments, avoid fallacies, and recognize our systemic human propensity for biases and misperceptions. There are at least three nested, and largely tacit, conceptions of the liberal arts in common usage.
